Deep-rooted Musqueam values of environmental sustainability and inclusiveness are thoughtfully incorporated into leləm̓, even down to the benches.
Musqueam band members were involved in producing these benches, including the original stripping of the log. They’ve been shaped and crafted into the benches by the Salish Environmental Group, a Musqueam member-owned business. Even the shape of the slabs of cedar respect the original tapered stripping of the bark.
