NEWS RELEASE

If Urban Fare is part of your weekly grocery routine, or Wildlight is where you meet friends for dinner, there’s a change coming to leləm̓ village that you’ll want to know about.
Musqueam Capital Corporation (MCC) has received notice from Pattison Food Group that Urban Fare and Wildlight Restaurant + Bar will close their leləm̓ village locations at a future date. All other shops and services in the village will continue as usual, and MCC is already evaluating what comes next for both spaces.
Thank You to the Urban Fare and Wildlight Teams
Urban Fare and Wildlight have been part of everyday life at leləm̓, from weekday grocery runs to dinners out. MCC and leləm̓ living appreciate the contribution both have made to the village, and thank their employees and leadership teams for their service to the community and their partnership.
Pattison Food Group makes decisions about the operation of Urban Fare and Wildlight. Questions about the closure itself are best directed to Pattison Food Group.
A Clear Focus on What Comes Next for Two Key Spaces
As of October 2026, MCC is actively evaluating opportunities for both commercial spaces, working with Pattison Food Group to find options that support the continued growth of the community and its commercial district. The goal is simple: commercial offerings that serve residents, the Musqueam community, and the wider neighbourhood.
That focus fits the bigger picture. leləm̓ village is a mixed-use community at the entrance to UBC, developed by Musqueam Capital Corporation on the ancestral, unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people. MCC will share further information as plans and opportunities develop, and this page will be updated. In the meantime, the shops and services open at leləm̓ are the best place to see what’s in the village today.
